Montreat, NC – The Pats competed at two different meets on Friday. The distance and throwers attended the Montreat Open in North Carolina while the sprints squad made the trip to Starkville, MS for the Alumni Bulldog Relays.
 
In Montreat, UC placed at least one athlete in the top-four in every event they entered. Ryan Ehrler led the way with a first-place finish in the 1500m run with a 3:56.56 finish. Ishak Mekideche clocked a 4:00.69 for fifth while Max Young and Bartosz Trojniar ran times of 4:02.65 and 4:06.49 for sixth and seventh. Daniel Hoxha ran a 4:09.12 for eighth while Christopher Morse rounded out the Pats in the 1500m with a 4:21.35 for 14^th.
 
Lucas Lambo finished second in the shot put with a 14.76m throw while Dratavyn Barber hit a 13.25m mark for fifth. Riley Massey placed 10^th with an 11.53m mark while Bailey Muncy and Jayvon Crawford finished 11^th and 16^th behind 11.28m and 10.41m marks.
 
The discus throw saw Bailey Muncy record a 43.47m throw for third while Lambo finished fourth behind a 41.77m mark. Crawford finished with a 34.66m best for 18^th while Massey rounded out the Patriots throwers with a 29.57m toss.
 
Sincere Irvin was the final Patriot in action in North Carolina on Friday, competing in the long jump. The freshman placed fourth with a 6.50m best jump.
 
In Starkville, UC had three entries in the 400m dash. Iloba Godspower led UC's finishers with a 48.27 400m time for eighth. Roderick Soto clocked a 48.64 for 13^th while Kerrington Eubanks placed 15^th after a 48.69.
 
Cumberlands will be back tomorrow as they compete on day two of the Montreat Open and the Alumni Bulldogs Relays.
