Louisville, KY – The Patriots had a fantastic weekend at the UL Freeman & Woods Open over the last two days. UC recorded four national standard performances including a top time in the NAIA.
 
The final race of the meet saw the best performance from the Pats as the 4x400 went 3:08.12 to win the event and record the fastest time in the NAIA. Jaysaun Smith, Travion Dotson, Cam Andrews, and Roderick Soto combined foe the new program record.  
 
Dotson earned another national standard in the 100m dash, clocking a 10.33 for third place and a top-10 time in the NAIA. Nigel Steenwinkel followed with a 10.58 for 17^th while Ryan Long crossed the finish in 10.97. Steenwinkel also ran in the 400m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 56.64 for 26^th.
 
UC's 4x100 hit a B cut with a 40.83 time. Daniel Dixon, Kerrington Eubanks, Donte Sol, and Smith combined for the national standard, and placed fifth overall.
 
The 800m run saw the final NAIA standard of the meet for UC as Ryan Ehrler clocked a 1:51.31 for fifth, earning a spot at NAIA Nationals later this year. Maddox Knight ran a 1:56.89 while Ishak Mekideche rounded out the Pats top-three finishers in the event with a 1:57.42. Mekideche was UC's top 1500m runner, clocking a 3:57.84 for 16^th.
 
Brandon Green and Alvaro Legaz ran in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish together at 16.00 and 16.04. Noah Kincade was the lone Patriot in the 200m, clocking a 22.67 for 59^th. Iloba Godspower then ran the 400m in 48.56 for 14^th overall.
 
In the 3K steeple, Bartosz Trojniar ran a 9:33.10 for seventh while Daniel Hoxha ran a 10:05.55 for 19^th.
 
In the field events, Lucas Lambo was the lone hammer thrower for UC. He finished 19^th with a 48.80m mark.
 
In the jumps, Matthew Chavers was the top long jumper for Cumberlands behind a 6.86m leap for 19th. Steenwinkel followed with a 6.24m mark for 29^th while Logan Stamper finished with a 5.48m jump for 34^th.
 
This was the final meet of the regular season for the Pats as they will now look ahead to the MSC Championships hosted at UC's home track. The meet will be next weekend on Sunday and Monday the 4^th and 5^th.
