Patriots Women’s Basketball Post Highest NAIA GPA To Earn WBCA Academic Honor Roll

The UC women's basketball team has excelled on the court reaching the NAIA final site in each of the past three seasons. Their success on the court as mirrored their success in the classroom as the Patriots posted the highest NAIA team GPA as the WBCA released its 2024-25 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls on Tuesday. 

Cumberlands closed out the year with a 3.837 team GPA, which was the highest GPA by a NAIA school surpassing Hastings 3.794.  UC also had the tenth highest GPA this season across all divisions. This year the Patriots notched a program-best GPA and it marked the third straight year that they have compiled a team GPA over a 3.70.

The Patriots had 11 players garner Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and had 13 Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference selections.  
 
Cumberlands went 26-6 overall, including an 10-2 record in conference to capture their first MSC regular season title since 2011-12.  The Patriots advanced to the final site of the NAIA National Tournament for the third straight year.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

UC kicks off their 2025-26 season on Friday, October 24th, when they host Kentucky Christian.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
