Patriots Making Waves in Summer Ball Leagues Across the Nation

Williamsburg, KY – Eight Patriots are representing the University of the Cumberlands across the country this summer, competing in various collegiate baseball leagues.

In the Prospect League, Wesley Culley has emerged as a key arm for the Lafayette Aviators (18-17). The senior pitcher holds a 5-1 record across eight starts, tossing 37.2 innings with 36 strikeouts and a 2.87 ERA. Culley's performance earned him a selection to the 2025 Prospect League All-Star Game.

Yannis Rembert is making an impact in the Valley League for the Covington Lumberjacks (15-18). The right-hander has logged 16 innings on the mound, striking out 24 batters while maintaining a 3.37 ERA.

Out west in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League, Nolan Wilson has been dominant for the Hays Larks (22-10). Wilson owns a 3-0 record with one save, striking out 30 over 19 innings pitched and holding a stellar 1.10 ERA.

In the West Coast League, Caden Petrey continues to deliver offensively for the Nanaimo Night Owls (14-19). The Williamsburg, KY native is batting .313 (10-for-35) with two home runs, contributing solid numbers in limited at-bats.

Johnboy Rittenhouse remains a cornerstone for the Martinsville Mustangs (21-15) in the Coastal Plains League. The third baseman has recorded a .260 average (32-for-123), with seven doubles, one home run, and 10 stolen bases, while continuing to play a reliable defensive role in the infield.

In the Mid America League, Zamaurion Hatcher is suiting up for the Sherman Shadowcats (13-16). The senior has totaled 11 hits in 42 at-bats (.262 AVG), including three doubles and two home runs.

Representing the Patriots in the Smoky Mountain Collegiate League, Chris Seay is off to an impressive start at the plate. Seay is batting .440 (10-for-23) with five home runs, providing serious offensive power in a short sample size.

Finally, Elijah Nickell is competing in the Ohio Valley League for the Fulton County Railroaders (12-20). The outfielder has 12 hits in 55 at-bats (.218 AVG), contributing as a steady presence in the lineup.
