Johnson City, TN – The RV University of the Cumberlands men's golf team put together a dominant performance to capture the team title at the East Tennessee Collegiate, hosted by Milligan University at Johnson City Country Club. Against a 14-team field of primarily NAIA programs, the Patriots surged to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive 36-hole total of (–23). 

Saran Jantratit posted rounds of 69 (-3) and 68 (-4) for a two-day total of 137 (-7), tying for second place. His tournament was highlighted by nine birdies, one eagle, and a hole-in-one on hole 17 during round two, making it just the seventh ace in program history and the first since 2016. 

Joining him in second place was Alexei Butchart, who fired rounds of 70 (-2) and 67 (-5) to also card a total of 137 (-7). Butchart's steady play included 10 birdies across the two rounds. 

Two more Patriots finished inside the top 10 with Eli Fischer turned in rounds of 69 (-3) and 71 (-1) to total 140 (-4), tying for sixth place with nine birdies. Pedro Morgado matched that score, recording 69 (-3) and 71 (-1) as well for a 140 (-4) finish, highlighted by seven birdies. 

Rounding out the team score was Radney Bales, who went 73 (+1) and 70 (-2) for a 143 (-1), tying for 14th with 10 birdies. 

UC also saw strong results from its individuals. Lorenzo Fiato tied for 14th with rounds of 70 (-2) and 73 (+1) for a total of 143 (-1), recording six birdies and two eagles. Pablo Lopez Martin tied for 27th with scores of 72 (E) and 74 (+2), finishing at 146 (+2) with six birdies and an eagle.  

Cumberlands' dominance put them comfortably ahead of the field, with the next-ranked NAIA program, Truett McConnell (RV), finishing fourth at even par. 

UC will return to action October 6-7 at the Music City Invitational, hosted by Cumberland University in Nashville, Tennessee.
