Williamsburg, KY – Fresh off the most successful season in program history, the University of the Cumberlands women's wrestling team has announced its 2025-26 schedule. The Patriots are coming off a historic third-place finish at the 2025 NAIA National Championships, where they scored 116.5 points, and a runner-up showing at the Mid-South Conference Championship. The team also collected several individual honors, highlighted by Katie Gomez earning MSC Freshman of the Year, four Patriots claiming All-Conference recognition, and Coach Jesse Kirby being named MSC Assistant Coach of the Year.

The upcoming season features a mix of open tournaments, duals, and championship events, beginning in late October and running through March. UC is slated for 15 regular season competition dates, including four home events at the UC Volleyball Gym.

Cumberlands opens the season with its annual Red vs. Blue match on October 23 in Williamsburg. The Patriots then travel to Ohio for the Tiffin University Women's Open on November 1, before heading to North Carolina for the Trojan Open on November 8.

The first dual of the season comes on November 14 at Campbellsville, followed by one of the nation's largest events, the Missouri Valley Open, November 21-22 in Missouri. UC closes the fall with its home Patriot Duals December 5-6 and a trip to the Wasp Open on December 12.

The spring semester begins with the National Duals, January 9-10 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. UC then returns home to host Life University on January 17, before competing at the Warrior Open January 23-24 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Patriots remain in Indiana for duals against Indiana Tech and Lourdes on January 30.

The home slate continues in February with a dual against Midway University on February 4, followed by a trip to Des Moines, Iowa, for the Grand View Open on February 7. UC then closes out the dual season at Lindsey Wilson on February 11.

Postseason competition begins February 20 at the Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, KY, as the Patriots look to improve on last year's runner-up finish. The campaign concludes at the NAIA National Championships, March 13-14, with UC aiming to build on its program-best third-place finish from 2025.
