Bowling Green, KY – For the second straight week, Patriots freshman
Titouan Bernot has garnered MSC Swimmer of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday. Bernot had a record breaking performance in UC's double dual win against Centre and Transylvania.
The Nancy, France native opened the meet by clocking a 1:36.66 to win the 200 free. That time broke the school record, which has been in place since 2009, by almost two seconds. It is also the top time in the NAIA by almost a second.
Bernot followed that up with a tactical race in the 500 free, where he utilized a late move to capture the win and hit the NAIA provisional cut.
He capped off the week teaming with
Adam Geddis,
Alexander Poulsen, and
Arvid Farro as the quartet posted a winning time of 1:23.11 in the 200 free relay.
UC returns to the water on Saturday, January 24th, when they return home to host #3 Milligan. The Patriots will honor their 2026 senior class prior to the meet, which is set to begin at 1 p.m.
