Williamsburg, KY – Playing a pivotal role in their team's success, forward Laura Bosca and archer Ludvig Rohlin were been selected as the October Athletes of the Month presented by Pepsi Corbin, the athletic department announced Monday. The University of the Cumberlands Athletic Department in conjunction with their corporate partner, Pepsi Corbin, are presenting the "Pepsi Corbin Athletes of the Month", which will be awarded to the top two student-athletes each month.
 
Laura Bosca earned athlete of the month honors after an incredible month.  Bosca paced the Patriots with five goals, a assist, and 11 points. The senior opened the month with a first half goal in UC's 3-0 win over #22 Cumberland.  Bosca followed that up the following week scoring both goals in the Patriots 2-0 victory over #23 Life.  She netted a goal in both halves and it marked her first career multi-goal match.  Bosca added an assist in UC's win over Freed-Hardeman, while scoring twice in Cumberlands MSC quarterfinal win over the Lions.  Bosca impact on the pitch goes beyond her offensive numbers as she has also been strong in helping limit their opponents to just one goal on the month. 
 
Ludvig Rohlin earned Athlete of the Month honors after a collecting a trio of podium finishes, including a pair of national titles at USA 3D Nationals.  Rohlin opened qualification with a 200 in the first round, before carding a 199 in the second round to be the top qualifier.  His score of 399 ranks second in program history.  Rohlin added 32 points over the final three ends to clinch his first individual national title.  The freshman teamed with Nico Powell and Chase White to compile a 3-0 record and win gold in the men's barebow team rounds.  After winning their first two matches, the trio defeated Rio Grande 93-89 in the finals to capture the national title.  Rohlin capped off nationals with a runner-up finish in mixed barebow team with a score of 729 points. His effort helped the  Patriots win the team title, which was their 20^th national title in program history.
