3/13/2026 1:39:00 PM

Bowling Green, KY – Four members of the University of the Cumberlands cheer team were named to the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference Team, conference officials announced this week. The MSC also selected Kylee Neace as UC's Champions of Character representative.

Maddy Burns, Ashlynn Gamppar, Kaylee Holtzapple, and Jaylee Johns each earned Academic All-Conference honors for their success in the classroom during the 2026 season.

To be eligible for the MSC Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least their third term or fourth quarter of collegiate coursework.

The Mid-South Conference also recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. These student-athletes are nominated by their coaches based on their leadership both on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core values of the NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

The Patriots cheer team is set to compete at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday, Mar. 14, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
