Bowling Green, KY – After another impactful week at the plate, Grace Ross has been named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
Ross totaled 13 RBIs across six games, recording three home runs and four extra-base hits during the stretch. She compiled 14 total bases and posted a .875 slugging percentage while delivering multiple clutch performances against nationally competitive opponents.
The graduate student transfer highlighted the week with a grand slam in a late rally against Thomas University before adding a two-run homer in an 8-1 victory over RV College of Coastal Georgia. She capped the NFCA Leadoff Classic with another three-run shot against Faulkner, driving in all three Patriot runs in a tightly contested matchup. For her performance in Columbus, Ross was also named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team.
In addition to her offensive production, Ross was flawless defensively behind the plate, recording 31 total chances without an error.
Ross continues to anchor the Patriots' lineup as Cumberlands prepares for its upcoming road matchup.
Cumberlands will return to action on Thursday, March 5, traveling to Mobile, Alabama to face the University of Mobile (Ala.) at 4:00 PM.
