Elkhart, IN – The Patriots broke four school records, had one national champion, and posted four national runner-up finishes to move into second place after three days of competition at the 2026 NAIA National Championships, Friday night at the Elkhart Aquatic Center. Cumberlands has tallied 257 points to jump three spots on the day as
Ruthiik Satti captured his first individual national title.
The Patriots recorded a one-two finish in the 100 backstroke.
Ruthiik Satti edged out the field to capture his first individual national title. Satti clocked the wall in 48.09 to secure the top spot on the podium. Teammate
Brandon Holder tallied the third fastest time in program history, clocking a 48.14 to earn a national runner-up finish.
Fabrizio Pacioni had an incredible performance for the Patriots earning a national runner-up finish in the 400 IM. The MSC Freshman of the Year, touched the wall in 3:49.92, shattering the school record by over three seconds.
Titouan Bernot earned the top-seed and school record in the prelims of the 200 free going 1:35.75. He followed that up by besting his time, touching the wall in 1:35.22 to capture a national runner-up finish and his second individual All-American honor.
Adam Geddis Posted a season-best time of 1:39.17 to place 11
th in the event.
UC opened the night with a pair of scorers in the 100 fly final.
Alexander Poulsen clocked a 47.52 to break the school record and placed third overall.
Ruthiik Satti touched the wall in 48.57 to finish tenth and score eight points.
Leon Irmer clocked a 55.04 to win the consolation final of the 100 breast.
In the final event of the night, the 400 medley relay, the Patriots earned a national runner-up finish, clocking a new school record time of 3:13.19. Satti led off the relay splitting a 48.22 in the back, while Irmer split a 53.91 in the breast. Poulsen took over with a 47.77 on the fly as Bernot split a 43.29 to anchor the relay to All-American honors.
The Patriots return to the water Saturday, March 7
th, for the final day of competition at the NAIA Championship. Prelims are at 9 a.m. with finals beginning at 5 p.m. Fans can catch all the action from Elkhart, IN
