Williamsburg, KY – On the heels of an incredible week in Patriots athletics, pitcher Jessica Cord and archer Chase have been named the Pepsi Athletes of the Week honors, the athletic department announced Monday. 
 
Jessica Cord earned Athlete of the Week honors after an incredible series.  Cord earned a pair of wins after tossing 13 innings, including her first no hitter.  The senior opened the week pitching eight innings, scattering eight hits and two runs as Cumberlands earned a walkoff win in the eighth inning for a 3-2 win over Georgetown.  Cord followed that up with a stellar performance where she threw a five-inning no-hitter in a win over the Tigers.  The Prattville, AL native faced 16 batters, including retiring 13 straight with five strikeouts.  With the two wins, Cord improved to 15-8 on the season.
 
Chase White earned Athlete of the Week honors after a fantastic week, highlighted by seven first place finishes.  White opened the week carding a 598 to earn the top-seed in the men's barebow qualification.  In addition to the top-seed, the freshman also broke the school record, that was set in 2023, by six points.  White followed that up going 3-0 and outscoring his opponents 18-2 to earn gold in USA Outdoor Regionals.  The Warrensburg, IL native followed that up posting a 3-0 record to win the men's barebow division at the MSC Outdoor Championships.  In addition to his individual success, White earned a pair of gold medals in both the men's barebow team rounds as well as the mixed barebow team divisions.
