Old Hickory, TN – The University of the Cumberlands men's golf team competed in a strong 21-team field at the Music City Classic, finishing 10th overall with a team score of 865 (+1). 

Leading the way for the Patriots was Pedro Morgado, who turned in an impressive three-round total of 212 (-4) to finish tied for 12th individually. Morgado opened the tournament with a stellar 68 (-4) and followed with back-to-back rounds of even par. He totaled nine birdies and an eagle across the event. 

Alexei Butchart delivered a consistent performance, placing tied for 37th with a three-round score of 217 (+1). After posting two rounds of 74 (+2) on day one, Butchart closed strong with a 69 (-3), finishing with six birdies. 

Eli Fischer finished tied for 48th overall with a total score of 219 (+3). Fischer recorded rounds of 71 (-1), 75 (+3), and 73 (+1), tallying six birdies and an eagle during the tournament. 

Colby Johnson carded a 221 (+5) across three rounds to finish tied for 59th. Johnson improved each round, shooting 77 (+5), 74 (+2), and 70 (-2), while totaling six birdies and an eagle. 

Rounding out the lineup was Pablo Lopez Martin, who placed tied for 74th with a score of 225 (+9). After an opening round of 80 (+8), Lopez Martin bounced back with a 71 (-1) in round two and finished with a 74 (+2), recording six birdies. 

The Patriots competed against a competitive field that included several Mid-South Conference programs. Notably, No. 14 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) led the MSC teams with a fifth-place finish at -7, while RV Cumberland (Tenn.) placed 19th (+34), Bethel (Tenn.) finished 16th (+18), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) took 15th (+17), and Georgetown (Ky.) tied for 20th (+37). 

The Patriots will return to action on April 27-28 where they will travel to compete at the Mid-South Conference Championship tournament in Bowling Green, KY.
