Kansas City, MO – The University of the Cumberlands men's tennis team maintained its position at No. 7 in the final NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Poll, earning 233 points as announced by the national office.

The Patriots conclude the Mid-South Conference Tournament with a 16-8 overall record, advancing to the conference championship match for the second consecutive day before finishing as the tournament runner-up.

Cumberlands opened postseason play with a dominant 4-0 sweep over Freed-Hardeman in the quarterfinals. The Patriots set the tone early by claiming the doubles point with wins on courts two and three before rolling through singles play behind strong performances from Darius Kuster, Thibaud Vivier, and Kesia Roi

The Patriots followed with another commanding 4-0 victory in the semifinals, this time defeating Bethel (Tenn.). Cumberlands once again controlled doubles play and carried that momentum into singles, where Kesia Roi, Thibaud Vivier, and Jacopo Cianfarini secured straight-set wins to clinch the match and send the Patriots to the championship.

In the MSC Championship, Cumberlands faced top-seeded Lindsey Wilson, falling 4-0 in a tightly contested match. The Patriots battled throughout doubles play, including a narrow tiebreak decision on court three, and remained competitive across several singles courts before play was halted.

Cumberlands now turns its attention to the NAIA National Championships, where the Patriots await their postseason placement. The NAIA Selection Show is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 3:00 PM CT.
