Bowling Green, KY – Following the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference Championship, the University of the Cumberlands men's golf team earned five All-Mid-South Conference honors, highlighted by Alexei Butchart being named to the All-Conference First Team. 

Butchart earned First Team All-Conference recognition after a strong regular season as one of the top golfers in the conference. The All-Conference teams are determined by Clippd individual rankings, with the top seven players earning First Team honors and the next seven earning Second Team recognition. 

Joining Butchart on the postseason list were Eli Fischer, Saran Jantratit, Colby Johnson, and Pedro Morgado, who were each named to the All-Conference Second Team. 

The Patriots finished fourth at the Mid-South Conference Championship with a three-round team total of 886 (+22) against a strong seven-team field. Cumberlands opened the tournament with a 292 (+4) to sit tied for second after round one and closed the event with their best round of the championship, firing a 287 (-1) in the final round to secure fourth place overall. 

Morgado paced the Patriots with an impressive third-place finish after rounds of 72 (E), 74 (+2), and 71 (-1) for a three-round total of 217 (+1). He also totaled nine birdies during the championship. 

Thomas White added a top-10 finish, tying for ninth overall after posting rounds of 74 (+2), 74 (+2), and 72 (E) to finish at 220 (+4), while recording 10 birdies across the event. 

Fischer delivered one of the best final rounds of the tournament for UC, shooting 70 (-2) in round three to finish tied for 16th overall at 224 (+8). He also matched the team-high with 10 birdies. 

Johnson finished tied for 23rd with a total score of 228 (+12), while Butchart rounded out the lineup in 29th place with a 236 (+20). 

The Patriots will now turn their attention to the NAIA National Championships, where they await their postseason fate. The NAIA Field Review is scheduled for Friday, May 1 at 3:00 PM CT.
