Williamsburg, KY – The University of the Cumberlands athletics department has excelled on the field while being pillars in the community.  As part of their relationship with the Appalachian region, the Patriots are excited to announce that beginning the 2026-27 school year, admission to fans attending all home athletic events, including postseason, will be free.
 
The move reflects Cumberlands Athletics' commitment to creating an exciting and welcoming environment for the entire community while strengthening the connection between student-athletes and the local community.  Fans are encouraged to come out, support the Patriots, and enjoy the championship-level competition and game-day atmosphere across the Patriots athletic venues.

"The heart of our community service has been working with local elementary and middle schools and being able to provide access to  our events for students and their families across the community is the next step in solidifying our relationship within the Williamsburg community," said Athletic Director Chris Kratick. 

Over the past several years, UC Athletics has worked diligently to strengthen their relationship with local schools through several initiatives including the basketball team's education days, high five Fridays, and a mentorship program. 

"The local community have been incredible in supporting Cumberlands Athletics over the years, especially during NAIA Opening Round events and I'm thrilled to have them be part of Patriots Athletics for years to come," said Kraftick.
