Bowling Green, KY – After helping the tenth-ranked Patriots to a perfect week, including a pair of wins over top-15 opponents, a pair of UC players garnered conference honors.  Brynnley Bryant captured the MSC Attacker of the Week honor, while Savanah Jolly was named the MSC Setter of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Bryant earned her second MSC Attacker of the Week accolade after recording 65 kills, 3.82 k/s, to go along with 54 digs, six blocks, and three aces.  The junior notched a career-high 24 kills in UC's five set win over #9 Mount Vernon Nazarene.  Her 24 kills ranks fifth in program history for kills in a match.  The Wilmington OH native added 18 kills and nine digs against Marian to close out the tournament.  Bryant began the week with 15 kills and 13 digs in the win over Rio Grande. She also notched a career-high 18 digs to go along with eight kills in the win over #13 IU Kokomo. Bryant leads the team with 3.81 kills per set on the year.

Jolly collected her second MSC Setter of the Week honor after another strong weekend.  The senior notched 183 assists, 10.76 assists per set, along with 45 digs, seven kills, and seven aces.  Jolly opened the week with 49 assists, 14 digs, and three kills in the Patriots 3-2 win over Rio Grande.  The Louisville, KY native followed that up with 39 assists and 10 digs as Cumberlands posted a 3-0 sweep over #13 IU Kokomo.  Jolly notched a season-high 52 assists against MVNU, before closing out the week with 43 assists and four kills in the win over Marian. 

The Patriots improve to 9-1 on the year will return to the court Friday, September 4th, when they host the Cumberland Invite.  UC will face Bethel (IN) at 3 p.m. with live video available here.
