BOWLING GREEN, KY - After a perfect kicking performance in Cumberlands' 50-27 road victory over Bluefield, Khalil Arman has been named the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Arman accounted for 14 points in the Patriots' fourth straight victory over the Rams, connecting on all three of his field-goal attempts while going a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points.

The Patriots called on Arman three times during the second quarter, and he delivered each time. He connected from 45 yards out to give UC a 16-13 advantage before drilling a 47-yard field goal on the Patriots' next possession. The 47-yarder tied the Cumberlands program record for the longest made field goal.

Arman added another clutch kick just before halftime. After the Patriot defense recovered a fumble with 11 seconds remaining, Cumberlands moved into field-goal range and Arman converted from 40 yards as time expired, sending UC into the locker room with a 29-20 advantage.

The Patriots went on to score 21 second-half points en route to the 50-27 victory and a 2-0 start to the season. Arman's three field goals came from an average distance of 44 yards, while his perfect day on extra points capped his first MSC weekly honor.

Cumberlands returns home on Saturday, September 12th when the Patriots host Warner University at James H. Taylor, II Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
