Bryan Leef earned male player of the week honors after going 10-21 from the plate with seven extra base hits and eight RBI’s. Leef started the week by recording a triple, a homerun, and three RBI’s in the Patriots 9-8 win over Fisher. He added two more hits to help UC take the series from Fisher. Leef followed that up by going 3-3 with a homerun, two RBI, and a pair of walks in Cumberlands conference opener over Shawnee State. Leef added three hits, three runs scored, and a pair of homers as UC completed the sweep over the Bears to start MSC play 3-0. Leef recording a 1.238 slugging percentage on the week, while swiping four bases and four walks.
