Georgia Martell earned athlete of the week honors after making 12 saves against a pair of top-ten opponents to help UC go 2-0-1 on the week.  The sophomore opened the week making four second half saves against seventh-ranked Marian.  Those saves kept the Knights scoreless helping the Patriots earn a 0-0 draw for their first shutout of the season.  The Brisbane, Australia native followed that up with a season-high eight stops in Cumberlands 2-1 win over third-ranked Central Methodist.  The win is the Patriots first top-five road win since at least 2001.  The eight saves tie Martell’s career-high, which she set last season against Cumberland.  The Patriots are 3-0-1 on the season with all four games coming against teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the national poll.
