Jace Luchau earned athlete of the month honors after posting a 9-0 record, including four wins over ranked opponents. The Selma, CA native tallied six falls and one major decision to remain unbeaten and improve to 12-0 overall on the season. The NWCA National Duals, Luchau compiled a 5-0 record with four falls. He opened the tournament needing just 35 seconds to earn a fall over #24 Kael Brisker of Southeastern. After tallying his second fall of the tournament, the sophomore knocked off 13th-ranked Nick Gates of Indiana Tech with a 16-3 major decision, before earning a second period pin over 17th-ranked Hunter Wagner of Ottawa. Luchau capped off the weekend with a first period fall against Nikolas Slatoff of Baker. Two weeks later, Luchua added three more wins to his resume as he picked up a pair of wins in a Pikeville tri-match. Going up against ninth-ranked Dayton Marvel of Campbellsville, Luchua utilized a pair of third period takedowns to post the 7-2 decision. The sophomore capped off the month with fall over Cumberland’s Ramiro Mosquera in the second period.
