Alina Boshchuk earned athlete of the month honors after pacing the way for the Patriots with a pair of strong finishes. Boshchuk opened the month crossing the line in 17:40.06 at the Southern Showcase.  The Ukraine native placed 42^nd in the race, which featured a plethora of NCAA DI and DII competition.  Boshchuk’s time is the second fastest 5k time in program history and she now holds the top three 5k times for the program.  The sophomore followed that up with a fourth place finish at the Gans Creek Classic.  Over the 6k course, Boshchuk clocked a 21:25.8 to place fourth overall.  That time is also the sixth fastest 6k time in program history.  Boshchuk’s success has led the Patriots to be ranked in the top five of the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
