Bella Ricchiazzi earned athlete of the month honors after tallying 36 goals, 27 assists and 63 points to lead the Patriots women’s lacrosse team to a 8-0 record on the month. Ricchiazzi notched at least three goals and six points in every game on the month. The senior opened Marched with six goals and three assists along with a pair of ground balls in the win over Brenau, before notching six points against Madonna. After recording four goals and four assists in the 15-4 win over (RV) Georgetown, Ricchiazzi notched six points against #9 Aquinas. The Framingham, MA native tallied 15 goals and 13 assists to go along with five caused turnovers and five ground balls over UC’s next three game. Ricchiazzi closed out the month with four goals and two assists in Cumberlands 17-16 overtime win over Reinhardt. In that game, Ricchiazzi scored twice to break a tied score including the game-winning goal at the 2:21 mark in overtime. The seniors leads the NAIA in assists and points, while she ranks second in the country in goals.
