Makenzie Keatts earned athlete of the month honors after hitting .509 on the month with 29 hits, 14 extra base hits, 25 RBIs, and 17 runs scored. The junior notched at least one hit in all 15 gams on the month and had nine multi-hit games to lead the Patriots offense. Keatts opened the month going 3-3 with a double, a triple, and four RBI and a run scored as the UC tallied a 9-0 win in their series opener with Thomas More. The Smyrna, TN native added four more hits over the series, including a one-out eighth inning walk-off homer to centerfield in the series finale. Keatts followed that up going 5-12 with a pair of multi-hit performances as Cumberlands swept Campbellsville. The junior tallied a season-high four hits and five RBIs in their 11-3 win over Georgetown. She closed out the series with four runs scored, two doubles, and two homers. Keatts notched four straight multi-hit games against Pikeville and the series opener with Bethel. The junior drove in five runs as UC swept the double-header from the Wildcats to finish 15-0 on the month. Keatts is hitting .426 on the year and set the program record with 52 RBIs.
