Max Harper earned athlete of the month honors after recording a .541 average going 33-60 at the plate with 14 extra base hits, 25 RBI and 30 runs scored. The senior tallied seven doubles, a triple, and six homers to go along with a .984 slugging and 17 walks. Harper tallied at least one in 16 games, had nine multi-hit games, and scored at least one run in 13 games. The Fredericksburg, VA native opened the month with a monster series against Wilberforce as he went 5-5 with two homers and seven RBI in the series finale to help UC complete the sweep. After tallying a double against Union, Harper opened the Shawnee State series going 4-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. The senior added three more hits and a run scored in the series before driving in four runs in a 2-4 performance against Midway. Harper smashed a homerun in three straight games against Thomas More and Midway and finished with six hits and five RBI during that stretch. The senior added a pair of multi-hit games against Pikeville, before closing out the month going 4-6 with a double, a triple, and three runs scored in the Patriots series clinching win against Wilberforce. Cumberlands went 16-1 on the month to clinch the MSC regular season title.
