University of the Cumberlands Athletics

Alina Boshchuk earned athlete of the week honors after winning the MSC Cross Country Championship.  Boshchuk crossed the line in 20:56.3 to win the individual title and capture both the MSC Runner of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors. Boshchuk averaged 5:6.8 per mile over the 6k course to pull away from the field and win by 42 seconds.   It was her third individual win of the season, while the Patriots captured their fourth consecutive MSC title and punched their ticket to the NAIA National Championships.
