Jonatan Brown earned athlete of the month honors after leading the Patriots averaging 16.3 ppg with 34 assists, and 31 rebounds. After opening the month with 12 points and five rebounds against Ohio Christian, the graduate student notched a season-high 24 points and four assists in the win over IU Southeast. Brown followed it up with a 22 point, five assists, five rebound performance over Midway to close out the Campbellsville Classic. The London, England native netted 17 points in two of the Patriots next three games, before he went off for 19 points, four steals, and six assists as Cumberlands defeated Dalton State. At “The Show” Brown scored 22 points, including going 10-12 from the charity stripe, to lead Cumberlands to a win over IU East. He closed out the month tallying 15 points in the win over St. Mary of the Woods. Brown’s performance helped the Patriots go a perfect 10-0 on the month, while climbing to 19th in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
