University of the Cumberlands Athletics

Lucas Santorum earned athlete of the week honors after a strong indoor track debut.  At the Grand Valley State Holiday Open, Santorum crossed the line in 4:06.68 to win the one mile race.  That time is the second fastest time in program history and it clipped the NAIA “A” cut by nine seconds.   Santorum is currently ranked first in the NAIA in the mile.
