Alicja Sedlak earned athlete of the week honors after earning a trio of conference titles and notched five podium finishes.  The Torun, Poland native was named the MSC Freshman of the Year, becoming the fifth Patriot to garner this honor.  Sedlak opened the championships with a third place finish in the 500 free clocking a time of 5:11.62.  She followed that up by edging out the field to win the 400 IM, touching the wall in 4:33.60.  That time is the second fastest time in the NAIA this season.  After being seeded sixth in the 200 breast, Sedlak split a 37.39 for the final 50 yards to track down swimmers and earn her second individual conference title of the meet.  In addition to her individual success, Sedlak anchored UC’s winning 800 free relay team that posted a time of 7:48.53.  She was also part of the Patriots 400 medley relay that notched a runner-up finish.
