Jayden Boelter earned athlete of the week honors after netting a hattrick in the Patriots season-opening win. Against (RV) Olivet Nazarene, Boelter was credited with all three goals for her fifth career hattricks. The Pats struck early in the match as Nicole Araujo sent a ball into the box to Boelter, who used one touch before pushing it across the goal line in the 6’. With the score remaining 1-0 in the second half, Boelter capitalized twice, in a one-minute span, off great crosses into the box. The first came from Noah Paalman at the 52:00 mark, before Rita Aguye and Araujo teamed up to connect with Boelter 52 seconds later to complete the hat trick and give Cumberlands the 3-0 lead. Boelter now has 74 career goals.
