University of the Cumberlands Athletics

Ishak Mekideche earned athlete of the week honors after a terrific performance at the MSC Championship.  The freshman was part of the leading pack that ran a smart race over the 8k course.  Mekideche became the first to cross the finish line clocking a 25:36.18 to capture Medalist honors. That performance earned Mekideche MSC Runner of the Year and MSC Freshman of the Year honors.  He was part of Cumberlands’ strong performance that had the top six finishers and seven of the top-eight runners.
