Williamsburg, KY -  Fifteen student-athletes from the University of the Cumberlands men's soccer team have been named to the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
 
Ivan Erickson, Daniel Fonseca, Ahmed Ghatwary, Lucas Lay, Gerard Lunday, Filip Milivojevic, Nicklas Nancke, Stephen Petrie, Matthew Prather, Brandon Scherr, James Schweizer, Micah Smith, Dage Spinning, Blagoje Tokovic, and Michael Witt made up the 15 Patriot student-athletes of the 56 from the conference that were named to the Academic All-Conference team.  Cumberlands led the MSC with 15 student-athletes, followed by Cumberland with nine.
 
To be nominated a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
 
The Patriots will return to action on Thursday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. EST as the fourth-seed in the MSC Tournament where they will face fifth-seeded Life University in the quarterfinals at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
