2019 NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll – Poll 2 (November 8)
Kansas City, MO – After a strong showing during the fall season, the University of the Cumberlands Women's Golf felt as if they are still the team to beat in the Mid-South Conference. Earning three team championships during the fall as well as three Medalist honors, UC put together a solid showing to build upon for the spring. On Friday, the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released for the fall and the Patriots once again are inside the top ten.
Cumberlands garnered 422 total points, dropping four spots from #4 to #8, national office officials announced. British Columbia, who entered the fall as the preseason favorite in the NAIA, took over the top spot once again with 13 of the 19 first-place votes and 522 points to come in at the top of the poll once more. SCAD-Savannah garnered five of the 19 first-place votes and 513 points for the second spot in the poll. Keiser, the former number one, dropped two spots to #3 with 488 points while Taylor (Ind.) received the final first-place vote and 476 points to jump to #4. Rounding out the top five was Oklahoma City University with 462 points.
Two other Mid-South Conference teams earn spots inside the top 25 as Cumberland University comes in at #12 with 313 points while Lindsey Wilson earns the #20 mark with 191 points. Others inside the top 25 are Dalton State (#6), Indiana Wesleyan (#10), Indiana Tech (#16), and Milligan (#21).
The Patriots will return to action in the spring. The full schedule for spring will be released on November 23rd.
