Bowling Green, KY – Fresh off capturing their first Mid-South Conference Championship since the 2022-23 season, the University of the Cumberlands women's golf team earned major postseason recognition as five Patriots were named to the 2025-26 All-Mid-South Conference teams, highlighted by Jasmine Points being selected as the MSC Freshman of the Year and head coach Aaron Watkins earning MSC Women's Golf Head Coach of the Year honors.
Points earned MSC Freshman of the Year after establishing herself as the top-ranked freshman in the conference this season. Entering the conference championship, she ranked 55th nationally in the NAIA according to Clippd while carrying a 77.8 regular-season scoring average. She also tied for eighth overall at the MSC Championship after posting a three-round total of 238 (+22) with four birdies.
Watkins was voted by the league's coaches as the MSC Women's Golf Head Coach of the Year after leading the Patriots to the Mid-South Conference Championship with a three-round team score of 933 (+69). Cumberlands used a final-round 307 (+19) to overtake the field and finish ahead of Cumberland (Tenn.) (+73) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (+74), securing the program's first conference title since the 2022-23 season and an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.
Cumberlands placed four golfers on the All-Conference First Team, including Points, Ginevra Capo, Ainslee Cruce, and Atchariya Thanaudomkul, while McKenzie Trautman earned All-Conference Second Team honors.
Thanaudomkul paced the Patriots at the conference championship with a third-place finish after rounds of 74 (+2), 79 (+7), and 76 (+4) for a total score of 229 (+13) while recording five birdies.
Trautman added a fifth-place finish after carding rounds of 80 (+8), 76 (+4), and 76 (+4) to finish at 232 (+16) with seven birdies across the tournament.
Cruce tied for eighth overall alongside Points with a total score of 238 (+22), tallying five birdies during the event.
Capo rounded out the lineup with a tie for 11th-place finish at 239 (+23), highlighted by a final-round 76 (+4).
The All-Conference teams are determined by Clippd individual rankings, with the top seven players earning First Team recognition and the next seven earning Second Team honors.
With their conference title, the Patriots earn an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships set for May 19-22. The NAIA Field Review for the remaining teams is scheduled for Friday, May 8 at 3:00 PM CT, while tee times and pairing lists will be announced at a later date.
