A season ago UC was projected to finish in second place for the preseason conference poll in front of Life. The Patriots would go onto finish in third place, losing to both Campbellsville and Life during the dual season.
Later this week the NAIA national poll is expected to be released. The Patriots finished the year in sixth place with their 9-11-1 season record.
The Mid-South does have three programs joining for the first time this season in Indiana Tech, Lourdes (OH) and St. Andrews (NC) all of which are fielding a women's wrestling team for the first time this season.
UC will begin their conference dual season in January when they host Indiana Tech on January 8 followed by both Lourdes and Brewton-Parker on January 9.
The Patriots will have their first competition of the season this weekend with the Patriot Duals starting at 9 AM on Sunday at the O. Wayne Rollins Center. Fan capacity is limited to 200 spectators who provide UC ID and wear a mask. The livestream will be available
