Williamsburg, KY – The Patriots kicked off their run in the 2020 NACE Fall Rocket League tournament Tuesday evening, taking on Champions League contender Dallas Baptist University in round one before facing off with Northern Kentucky University in round two. The Patriots dropped to 0-2 following losses in both best-of-five series.

The NACE Fall Tournament features a large field of collegiate esports programs participating in an 11-round bracket, with each team facing a pair of opponents each week. Each round consists of a best-of-five series of matches between each pair of teams. UC's round one opponent were the Patriots of Dallas Baptist, while Cumberlands faced off with Northern Kentucky University for round two.

UC was able to edge out a win in game one of its series with Dallas Baptist, winning 2-1 due to excellent time management by Cumberlands. DBU would go on to win three straight in the following games, claiming victory in round one. UC totaled three goals in the series against DBU with Logan Smith (lolo58) scoring two of the Pats goals, notching the best performance of the day.

In round two, the Nourse would take three straight games, sweeping the series against UC. The loss drops the Patriots to 0-2 in the tournament.

Patriots Rocket League will return to action in the NACE Fall Tournament next week on Tuesday, October 6^th, taking on the Wayland Baptist Pioneers in round three followed by a matchup with Lakeland University for round four.
