Cumberlands Leads the MSC With Seven Players on All-Conference

MSC All Conference Honorees

Bowling Green, KY –
For the second straight season the Patriots lead the Mid-South Conference for the most All-Conference honorees. Cumberlands ties Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland U for 2021 honorees with seven each. UC had one on First Team, four on Second Team and a pair on Honorable Mention. A total of 43 student-athletes from around the MSC garnered All-Conference honors.

The program's cap leader and assist leader, Joel Drewery can add another career mark to his name. He becomes the program's first five-time MSC All-Conference player, earning First Team this season. Drewery played both defender and midfielder this season. The senior notched a team high 10 assists which also ties the most he has dished out in a single season. The Hull City, England native also tallied two goals of his own.

In his two seasons at Cumberlands, Gabriel Figurski Vieira has earned MSC All-Conference twice, moving up to Second Team this season. He is tied for third on the team with three goals including one game winner. The freshman has also recorded an assist for a total of seven points on the year. As a defender on the team, Figurski Vieira has also helped the team to five shutouts this season.

Liam Healey makes it back-to-back seasons making MSC Second Team All-Conference. Healey is second on the team with eight assists and has two goals for 12 total points. Healey plays in the midfield for the Patriots where he facilitates much of the offense and is trusted to take most of the team's free kicks and corners. Healey is the only player on UC's roster to have started in all 17 games so far.

Picking up All-Conference Honors for the first time in his young career is Hrannar Magnusson, earning a spot on the Second Team. Despite being a defender, Magnusson gets the job done on both sides of the ball with his five goals, second highest on the team. He makes sure to score in the big moments with two of his five goals being game winners including most recently in the 84' minute in the MSC Quarterfinals to send UC onto the semifinals.

Noting the fourth most goals in the Mid-South Conference placed forward, Rodrigo Riveros on Second Team All-Conference. He has 12 goals on the season already getting one more than his entire last season. Of his team high a dozen goals, four of them have been game winners. The Asuncion, Paraguay native also has one assist for a total of 25 points.

Storm Hollensted is the only first year freshman on UC's roster to garner All-Conference honors, noting Honorable Mention. As a center midfielder Hollensted helps transition the team from defense and offense. He has earned one goal this season, scoring against MSC foe Cumberland U.

In just his second with the Patriots, Tommaso Ogliari has made a big impact to UC's success which has earned him MSC Honorable Mention honors. Playing in the outside back role on the left side of the pitch, Ogliari is responsible for many of the crosses sent into the box that his teammates score off of, with five assists this season. He is also a formidable defender keeping some of the top attackers at bay on their right side of the field.

The seven Patriots on the list ties the most by any team in the conference this year. Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland U also noted seven All-Conference players.

Cumberlands will continue their season in Bowling Green, KY in the MSC Semifinals at 8:30PM on November 10. They will take on #21 Cumberland U for a spot in the MSC Championship match and an automatic berth to the NAIA Opening Round. The livestream for the match can be found here.
