Williamsburg, KY- In his third year at the helm of the Cumberlands Cheer and Dance teams, coach RJ Conroy has announced the Patriots 2022 schedule that features three shared competitions on the mats.

Both teams are slated to open their seasons on January 21 when they are set to compete in the Patriots Spirit Invite. This is the second straight year that UC has hosted this competition. Patriots Dance team is looking to defend their first place performance during both rounds last year, while Cumberlands Cheer is looking to build off their overall high score during their second round last season.\

UC Dance will then take a couple weeks off from competition to and Patriots Cheer will head down to Conference Opponent Georgetown College on January 28 for their second competition of the season. The last matchup between the two teams occurred on February 8, 2020, with Cumberlands Cheer winning with a final score of 80.19.

Both teams will then hit the mats together again on February 3, when they are set to travel to Missouri Baptist for their next Competition. This is the first time either teams have competed at this competition.

The next week will see both teams starting postseason as they are set to compete at the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Bowling Green, KY on February 12. UC Dance is looking to defend their conference title from last season, after they beat their opponents by 14 points of more to capture the title. Patriots Cheer is looking to top their score from last season and tally their third Conference title in program history.

 UC Dance will look to continue their run in the postseason on February 19, where they are set to travel to St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, FL for the NAIA Regional Tournament. Patriots Cheer will conclude their season in Georgetown, KY with another matchup against the Tigers.
