Columbia, MO – The Cumberlands dance team competed at the America Midwest Conference Championship for the first time in program history this Friday.  

The Patriots earned a 70.37 in the preliminary round of competition, after a two-point deduction from the judges.  

In the final round of competition, the Pats earned a score of 65.50. The team's earned an overall score of 66.72, putting them in eighth place. Saint Ambrose came out on top with a score of 90.34 followed by Viterbo and Missouri Baptist to round out the top three.  

UC dance is hoping to qualify for NAIA Nationals in Ypsilanti, Michigan on March 28 and 29. The Patriots will compete in their final competition of the season at NDA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida from April 9 to April 13.
