Game One: Cumberlands wins, 2-1
Neither side could plate a run through the first frame. In the second inning, Cincinnati-Clermont got on the board first. Following a stolen base and a wild pitch, the Cougars found themselves with a runner on third base. A Patriots balk would score the runner from third and give CC the 1-0 lead.

Cumberlands answered quickly in the bottom of the third. Rolondo Rodriguez got the inning started with a single to center and was replaced by Kevin Perez. Perez was able to advance to second base after a deep flyout to right-center field. Now in scoring position, Perez scored off an RBI single from Ray Villanueva to tie the game at 1-1.

In the fifth inning, Jacob Ayala took the mound in relief of Colton Easterwood. Ayala notched three strikeouts to retire the side and keep the game tied.

In the bottom of the sixth, UC took control. Villanueva started the run with a single to left. After a drop third strike to Leef, Villanueva found himself on third base.
