In addition to Cox, the Patriots are in prime position within the women's bowhunter division.  Kaitlyn Shields shot 32 points higher than her regional qualifying score to finish with a two-round total of 658.  The Saginaw, MI native hit 24 10's and carded a first round 330 on the day.  Michaela McDonald and Sara Sherman are also sitting inside the top-ten.  McDonald carded a 650 to be ranked sixth, while Sherman's 639 put her as the ninth-seed.  All three of these Patriots won their opening match of the elimination round.

Four of UC's five women's compound shooters are still alive in the elimination bracket after day one.  Brooke Miller was the highest seeded Patriot after carding a 674 with 38 10's.  Hannah Moose, Danielle Woodie, and Amanda Newland also advanced in the bracket after first round wins.  Moose and Woodie recorded a 661 and 660 during the qualification round to be seeded 13th and 15th, respectfully.
