Individual and Team Standings
Bowling Green, KY - The Patriots women's golf team currently sits in first place at the Mid-South Conference Tournament following a lightning delay that put an end to second round action on Thursday. Across 14-holes on Thursday, Cumberlands posted a team score of 227 (+7) and has a twelve-stroke lead over Lindsey Wilson College.
Carlee Shoemaker and
Sharon Holczer both posted 14-hole scores of 55 (E) during Thursday's play. Shoemaker had a strong start to her day as she secured three birdies on the front-nine. After starting the day in a tie for 12
th place on the individual leaderboard, Holzer tallied two birdies during Thursday's action to grab a share of seventh place overall.
Across 14-holes on Thursday,
Hannah Griffith carded a score of 59 (+4) to maintain fifth place on the individual leaderboard. The Lexington, KY native came into the day in fifth place after she posted a first-round score of 76 (+4).
Improving six spots on the leaderboard was
Lucia Pena who notched a 14-hole score of 58 (+3) during Thursday's second round. Pena currently sits in ninth place on the individual leaderboard. The junior tallied a first-round score of 82 (+10) during Wednesday's first round.
Viviane Braun found herself in the top-20 after she notched a 14-hole score of 65 (+10) on Thursday. The sophomore currently occupies 16
th overall on the individual leaderboard.
The Patriots will resume second round play at 7:30 AM on Friday, May 7. Once round two action is finished, the competing schools will finish the tournament's third round on Friday afternoon.
