NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll: 9

Kansas City, Mo – Heading in the Mid-South Conference Tournament, the UC men's soccer team, stays in the NAIA Coaches' Poll ranked 24^th, announced by the national office on Wednesday.

Despite the Patriots only having played one match, where they won 5-0, the team dropped one spot since the last poll. Cumberlands did earn more points in the poll released today increasing from 119 to 135 points.

UC is 9-4-3 in the regular season with a MSC record of 6-2-2. They are coming off their biggest margin of victory to close out the regular season, defeating Pikeville, 5-0. The Patriots are unbeaten in four of their last six games.

Stephen Appiah is the only player with double digit goals this season, having scored 10 along with four assists. Rodrigo Riveros is right behind him with seven goals and a pair of assists. Riveros is coming off MSC Offensive Player of the Week, having recorded a brace and an assist against UPike. Shuma Sasaki has the team best in assists with five.

Cumberlands is holding opponents to .63 goals against per game which is 11^th best in the NAIA. In seven of the games, UC has recorded a shutout and in their last game, the Patriots only conceded two goals, with none of them coming on frame.

The Patriots are once again the highest ranked team in the MSC. Both Bethel and Tennessee Southern are receiving votes to give the conference three teams in the poll.

UC is set to start the MSC Tournament this Friday, November 4, in the quarterfinals. The Pats will take on Campbellsville at 7PM ET at the UC Soccer Complex.
