Bowling Green, KY – The Patriots keep up their rise in the classroom, earning 15 on the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference list. This marks the fourth consecutive season UC has increased their MSC academic honorees, going from nine in 2019 now to 15 in 2022. Cumberlands has the second most student-athletes on the list behind, 17 from Georgetown.

For the fourth time in his career, Alejandro Gonzalez takes home the honor, leading the way for UC as the most on the team.

Armando Cima, Ricardo Lopes de Matos, and Marco Muca have now all placed their name on the MSC Academic All-Conference list for the third year.

For the second straight season, Storm Hollensted, Hrannar Magnusson, Tommaso Ogliari and Ingmar Struck all garnered the award.

In their first year of eligibility, Evan Dunaway, Micah Nahid, Owen Scala, Caleb Seward, Christopher Tioukalov, Jackson Young and Brennen Zeigler all earned the honor as well.

For the second straight season, Struck was named the Champions of Character representative for Cumberlands.

In order to be nominated for the All-Academic team each athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, and have completed at least one year at a college or university. The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.

The Patriots are getting ready to start postseason play on Friday, November 5. Cumberlands is hosting Campbellsville for the MSC Quarterfinals. The game is slated for a 6PM with live video available on the UC Sports Network here.
