Bowling Green, KY – The Patriots surpassed their record of nine making the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference list with 12 this year. Along with the Academic All-Conference honors the MSC also released the Champions of Character Team with
Jakeline Esquivel taking home the accolade.
Kailee Godinez leads all of the award winners, marking her fourth time she has made the All-Academic list. For the third time in their careers
Jesse Kirby and
Bella Ricchiazzi take home the honors while
Hailey Budney,
Alexis Medina, and
Kaelynn Dougherty are now a two-time honorees.
MaQuoia Bernabe,
Aly Peach,
Ariana Pereira,
Aliyah Yates,
Elizabeth Dosado, and
Daniela Hechavarria all got named to the list for the first time in their careers as Patriots.
The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
A total of 52 women's wrestlers from all of the conference earned a spot on All-Academic the list with Campbellsville leading the way noting 16, Cumberlands in second with 12 and Life in third picking up 11.
All of the MSC teams will compete on Sunday February 20 at the MSC Championships in Bowling Green, KY. The format will be an open style tournament and fans can purchase tickets
here to attend.
