Bowling Green, KY – Senior Thomas Gutierrez pitched a complete game shutout to earn his second Pitcher of the Week honors this announced Monday by the conference office.

The Los Angeles native led the Patriots to a 10-0 run rule victory over UT Southern in the MSC Opening Round on Friday night. That game he pitched 7.0 innings allowing no runs and only three hits. He also came away with seven strikeout and did not allow any runner to get past second base.

For the season, Gutierrez has a 9-1 record on the year as he pitched 81.0 innings for an ERA of 4.22 and a WHIP of 1.28. He has four complete games with three of them being shutouts. He also notched 70 strikeouts on the season.

The Patriots next game will be in Bowling Green on Friday at 12:30 CT. The will face the winner of Georgetown and Cumberland.
