The 2021 season for the UC football team ended with the Patriots recording their fifth consecutive winning season. UC went 6-4 on the season, including a 4-1 mark at James H. Taylor, II Stadium.

Against Southeastern, wide receiver Brandon Stuckey tied the school record with three receiving touchdowns.  The senior went untouched in the game as he has three catches for 143 yards with scores of 33, 52, and 58 yards. In the win, Stuckey also became the sixth player to achieve 1,000 career receiving yards.

Eight Patriots earned MSC All-Conference honors led by  Jackson Norton, Logan Stephens and Kendall Adams-Young, who were first-team selections.  Norton is the sixth player to be a four time all-conference selection, while Adams-Young recorded a career-high 41 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss.

With wins over Florida Memorial and Southeastern, Cumberlands has improved to 9-0 against the Sun Division in program history.  In 2021, the Patriots outscored these two opponents by a combined 119-26.

Ben Nixon threw for a career-high 15 touchdowns on the season, which is tied for second most in a season.  Nixon opened the season with 11 touchdowns over the first three games, including back-to-back four touchdown performances against Florida Memorial and Southeastern.

The Patriots defense forced 25 turnovers on the season, averaging 2.5 turnovers per game.  UC tallied 15 interceptions and went 6-0 in games where they recorded multiple interceptions.  Cumberlands also scored a trio of defensive and special team touchdowns as Jamar Nuby and Damon Byrnes-Mitchell found the endzone in the season opener.

  Harlin Brown closed out the year ranked fifth in the NAIA averaging 45.1 yards per punt.  That is the third-best punt    average for a season in program history and the sophomore posted a season-best 53-yarder in the season finale     
  against Lindsey Wilson.
