Williamsburg, KY – For the first time in school history the Patriots Sports Information Department has garnered a pair of top-five finishes as CoSIDA announced its 2021-22 Publications and Digital Design Contest winners Tuesday night.  The Patriots were voted "Best in the Nation" for their Spring Sports Video Recap, while UC earned a fifth place finish in Spring Game Notes category.

"Our staff has continued to work tirelessly to elevate the coverage of Patriots student-athletes and teams," said Assistant Athletic Director Tommy Chasanoff.  "Brandon and Kristin have been an integral part of the Sports Information success and I'm grateful for their continued dedication."

Cumberlands took top honors for their Spring Sports Video Recap.  The Patriots have continued their strong efforts in promoting spring sports with video recaps of games and series across all spring sports.  These efforts, which are led by Director of Athletic Video Operations Brandon Hensley, includes recaps for baseball, softball, women's lacrosse, men's lacrosse, golf, and tennis.  Hensley and the Patriots staff have earned numerous accolades in recent years for video recaps and continued that trend with top honors with the CoSIDA accolade.

Director of Content Creation Kristin Shaffer earned a fifth place in the Spring Game Notes category.  Shaffer's softball game notes are a comprehensive overview of each series and includes schedules, rosters, series storylines, season and position game-by-game, and players stat lines with notes, and game highs from the season.  Shaffer's game notes against Georgetown captured the top five finish and those game notes can be found here: Patriots Softball Game Notes vs Georgetown.

The CoSIDA Publications and Digital Design Contest college division features schools from the NAIA as well as NCAA DII, NCAA DII, and JUCO.  Across the NAIA, ten schools earned a top-ten finish in the Publication Contest, including two from the Mid-South Conference (Cumberlands and Pikeville).
