NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll: Preseason

Kansas City, MO – After finishing the 2021 season with 16 points for the NAIA Coaches' Poll, the UC men's soccer team has moved up to 51 points, just three spots outside the top-25 for the Preseason Poll.

Last year, the Patriots finished their season with an 11-6-3 record, ending at the NAIA Opening Round. Seven starters from that squad return for the upcoming season with a majority of them a part of the 2020 team who made the NAIA Quarterfinals.
Four of the seven MSC All-Conference from 2021 return this season in Hrannar Magnusson, Rodrigo Riveros, Storm Hollensted and Tommaso Ogliari. Riveros led the team in goals with 12 last season.

UC was the runner-up in the Mid-South Conference Tournament in 2021, earning them the second highest ranking to open up this year's campaign. Lindsey Wilson, the reigning MSC Tournament Champs, is ranked 14. Just behind the Patriots and also receiving votes is Cumberland U, rounding out the only three MSC teams in the poll.

Five of Cumberlands' opponents for the 2022 season were mentioned in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, highlighted by two teams in the top-15 in Lindsey Wilson and #13 Rio Grande.
