NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll: 1

Kansas City, MO – After receiving votes in the preseason NAIA Coaches' Poll, the UC men's soccer team has risen to #20, announced by the national office earlier today.

Cumberlands is coming off an impressive week where they defeated #13 Rio Grande and West Virginia Tech who is now receiving votes. Overall, the Patriots are sporting a 2-2-1 record, with all of the matches taking place on the road.

UC is outscoring their opponents 7-3, with a pair of shutouts. Stephen Appiah is leading the team with four goals and one assist for nine total points. His high proficiency in front of goal, helped him earn both Mid-South and NAIA Offensive Player of the Week awards. Rodrigo Riveros, Storm Hollensted and Antonis Seraphides have all claimed goals this season, while Alejandro Gonzalez paces the team with a trio of assists.

Both Ingmar Struck and Pablo Vazquez have earned shutouts this season in goal. They have combined for 12 saves for a .788 save percentage. Vazquez also tallied an assist along with the two wins this past week to be names MSC Defensive Player of the Week.
UC is the only MSC team to be ranked in the top-25, but Bethel is receiving votes.

Cumberlands is poised to have their home opener this Saturday, September 10 at 7PM ET at the UC Soccer Complex.
